Robert E. Lee was a good man, and loyal. He fought with his home state Virgina evern tho he hated the idea a secession. In fact her was so layal to the state of Virgina he declined President Abarham Lincoln's offer to become a union genral. Lee was a well respected man and a great motivator, as a result he was ad,ired by all his men. He won the Seven Days Battle, the Second Battle of Bull Run, the Battles of Fredericksburg, and Chancellorsville. Lee was the genral who lost the battle that was the turning point in the war for the union, the Battle of Gettysburg. He surrenderd April 9th 1865, at Appomattox Cout House in the Confederate Capital of Richmond, VA.
